I am currently attending the Rochester Institute of Technology for my BFA in Illustration with a Minor in Music and Technology.
I was influenced by art at a very young age. My grandfather was an architect and ran his own business. As a kid visiting my grandparents house, I would excitedly show my grandfather all the doodles I was working on in my many sketchbooks. He was my first inspiration to pursue art.
Growing up near the water has also influenced my work. Many of the pieces I create surround a theme of the ocean or sea life in some way. I also enjoy drawing plants and animals and creating fun ocean-themed characters. I love working in a slight cartoony style that is shape driven. I also appreciate working in a realistic manner as well and finer details.
I am also a lover of music. Being a musician myself I have been playing the Violin for over 10 years. I love attending concerts big and small and hearing all the different styles and genres that musicians explore and perform. This influences my work as I plan in the future to collaborate with musicians to make artwork for them.
Finding a way to combine my two loves, art and music, has been the biggest dream of mine and attending RIT has helped push me to bring my dreams into reality.
